Late Antique Reading Group

Members of LARG will explore the Kelsey Museum’s new installation, “Byzantine and Islamic Worlds: 400–1800” Exhibition.” As we observe a diverse collection of material, we will ask the fundamental question, “What is Late Antiquity?” and re-think temporal and geographical boundaries. We will also consider how narratives of late antique culture(s) are curated for public audiences.
