Amplifying Access: Funding Solutions for Scholarship that Matters brings together 75–150 participants across disciplines for practical, hands-on support navigating today’s increasingly competitive funding landscape. With programming tailored to different experience levels (from first-time applicants to researchers ready to move from mid-sized awards to the next level) participants will learn how to identify aligned funding opportunities, craft compelling proposal narratives, strengthen key proposal components, and revise more strategically based on reviewer expectations.

The conference features skill-building workshops, moderated panels, proposal-writing time, consultation zones (narrative clarity, budgets and planning, funder fit and strategy, and community partnership), and a resource fair connecting participants to U-M offices and tools that support proposal development. The event is designed to support inclusive, people/human-centered scholarship and research that reduces inequities, disparities, and inequalities. Registration is required; attendance is free.
