Join us for the Mechanical Engineering Department's Homecoming Open House, an event designed to showcase the world of mechanical engineering. This exciting event is open to all and offers a fantastic opportunity to delve into the various facets of mechanical engineering, understand the groundbreaking research conducted in our department, and explore a range of department and campus resources. 

Activities include:

  • Connect with other ME alumni, students, postdocs, faculty, and staff
  • Tour ME faculty research labs
  • Capture memories in the ME photo booth
  • Participate in ME themed activities
  • Enter raffles for ME swag
  • Enjoy light snacks and refreshments

Lab Tours in GGB and AutoLab: Visitors can visit the labs below at the listed times for 10-minute tours. Groups will also be escorted to labs on tour at 2:15 pm and 3:00 pm. To join the escorted group, please gather in the Galleria at 2:10 pm and 2:50 pm.

Join us for a Fireside Chat with Professor Tim Colonius, PhD (BSE ME '87), who is the recipient of the 2025 Mechanical Engineering Department Merit Award, established to honor alumni who personify the College’s tradition of excellence and who have achieved significant accomplishments in their professional lives. 

Connect with members of the ME alumni community and enjoy light refreshments during this engaging discussion moderated by ME professor Steve Ceccio.
