Join RA Emma as she leads a walking tour of the beloved University of Michigan Michigan Nichols Arboretum! You will be able to make some friends, get some fresh air, and explore a beautiful space of nature and beauty with some new classmates! We suggest that you were comfortable clothes and shoes that you wouldn't mind getting some dirt on as you walk the grounds! The group will meet at the arches between the 100 and 200 sections of Munger Wing at 4:00pm to walk over!

Come ask the Lawyers Club RAs anything about the Law School, the Lawyers Club, Ann Arbor, or anything else that is on your mind as you transition into life as a Law Student!

Sometimes law students need to escape the Law Quad. But where should they go to clear their minds? Come join your RA Emma for a walk around Main Street to see some of her favorite shops: taste some samples at Cherry Republic, browse board games (or manga if you are so inclined) at Vault of Midnight, pick up a card to send home (or a Taylor Swift candle by era or Gilmore Girls merch) from Rock Paper Scissors, examine large pieces of petrified wood at Four Directions, and we will stop in Literati on the way home! We are also open to requests from attendees.

On Thursday, September 5th, grab a to-go box from the dining hall at lunch and enjoy the beautiful weather and company of your classmates in the quad! Blankets and lawn chairs will be provided for your comfort! If it happens to rain we will reschedule for Friday the 6th.

Join RA Karma for Yoga on the Quad! Open to yoga practitioners of all levels of practice, including beginners! No expertise needs! A limited mount of Yoga mats will be available to those who do not have their own. Enjoy some moments of relaxation while meeting other Lawyers Club residents!

Looking for a productive study environment with a fall twist? Join us for Fall Study Sesh on October 23rd from 3-5 PM in the Lawyers Club 2nd Floor Lounge, Cook Wing! Bring your own mug (BYOM) and fuel your focus with Pumpkin Spice Coffee and snacks while you study. This is a great opportunity to get work done in a cozy, supportive atmosphere alongside your peers. Enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of rare historical manuscripts, books, and images relating to 18th and 19th-century American legal development, slavery, emancipation, and citizenship, civil rights, and more. We will meet in the Clements lobby. You can access the sapce by entering through the glass doors on the far side.

We are at opening night of Murder in the First on Broadway when Jack Bialystock, a big-shot Producer, is found shot to death backstage. Whodunit? Well, it could be any one of us. Come for the parodical references and stay to solve the murder. Bring your dinner, your friends, and your grown theater-kid enthusiasm. Everyone is welcome. Come spend some time with your Lawyers Club friends in the Cook 2 Lounge from 3-5pm. Fill goodie bags with your favorite sweet treats and create heartfelt Valentine’s Day cards for your friends, classmates, and loved ones!

Hit the books, then hit the dance floor—literally! Join RA Karma for a Pomodoro-style study session that balances productivity with movement and fun. This session follows the 25/5 study method, meaning you’ll have 25 minutes of focused study time, followed by a 5-minute Just Dance break to re-energize. Not a fan of dancing? No worries! You can use your break time to play board games or color instead. If you prefer longer study intervals, we also offer an alternative structure: 50 minutes of study followed by a 10-minute break.

This is a great way to stay motivated, maintain focus, and make studying feel more engaging. Whether you’re looking to power through assignments, move your body, or just take fun breaks with friends, this event is for you.

The Oscars are coming up on Sunday, March 2nd! Use this opportunity to make your predictions about which films will win the big awards, and compete against your friends and other residents to see who makes the most correct predictions. There will be a Lawyers Club group page where you can fill out your Oscars predictions and submit them. Winner to be announced after the Oscars

Calling all Lawyers Club residents who are in snowy Ann Arbor for Spring Break! Are you hoping to beat the boredom and winter blues? Well, come to Game Night on Thursday, March 6th at 7PM in Cook 2 lounge to play your favorite board games, some Nintendo Switch, and socialize with other residents! Snacks provided!

Come to the LC Main Lounge on Tuesday, March 18th at 7pm where students will form teams and compete to correctly answer the most trivia questions, using the familiar format of America's favorite game show. Attendees will be split into teams and the winning team will receive Blue Bucks.

Join the Lawyers Club RAs on Sunday, April 12th from 11:30 A.M.-1:00 P.M. in the LC dining hall for an opportunity to discuss upper level course selection. Bring any questions you may have about course selection– whether they be about specific courses or professors, what classes the RAs have enjoyed, when and how to use priority picks, how many credits to take, or anything else, this is a great opportunity to get some perspectives from 2Ls and 3Ls!

Celebrate the end of classes and the start of a new season with our Clothing Swap event! This is the perfect opportunity to clear out your closet, pick up something new-to-you, and reduce waste by giving gently used clothing a second life. Bring any gently used items from your dorm—clothing, books, kitchenware, decor, school supplies, or anything else you think someone else might enjoy or need. Whether you’re looking to donate, trade, or simply browse, all are welcome to participate—no need to bring clothes to take some home! The swap will take place the day classes end, giving you a chance to unwind, socialize with fellow Lawyers Club residents, and practice some sustainable style before finals begin.

Come by, drop off anything you no longer wear, and see if there’s something new waiting for you!
