We all know that elections have consequences. Bracing ourselves for the impact of any outcome can be incredibly difficult when so much is at stake. During our October Community Conversation, you will engage with fellow SEAS & PitE community members and discover ways you can protect your own peace of mind in the lead up and outcome of the upcoming 2026 midterm election. We will also make time for an optional Nature Walk to follow!

Join SEAS and Turn Up Turnout for a Walk to the Polls event. We’ll gather in the Ford Commons on the first floor of the Dana Building for food and then walk together to the U-M Museum of Art (UMMA), one of U-M’s on-campus voting hubs. Eligible voters can cast their ballot at UMMA, while others are welcome to join us to learn more about the voting process.

Join us for an MLK Day of Service at Food Gatherers as we put our values into action and give back to our local community. Together, we’ll help support Food Gatherers’ efforts to alleviate hunger and provide nutritious food to people across Washtenaw County.
Volunteers will help process and sort rescued food, repackage bulk items, or pack boxes for distribution. This hands-on opportunity is a chance to put SEAS’s commitment to sustainability and community engagement into practice through meaningful action close to home, while building connections with members of the SEAS community through service.
Light refreshments will be provided.
