Welcome to Recreational Sports! As part of your onboarding to the department, please sign up for a Rec Sports 101 and/or a Customer Service 101 training. These trainings will have you well on your way to becoming a knowledgeable part of the Rec Sports team!
3 sessions available from February 7, 2018 to April 2, 2018
These training sessions are required for all Club Sport participants and will educate and inform students on the topics of sexual misconduct prevention, hazing and bystander intervention

The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age - adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.
There is no fee for current Department of Recreational Sports employees. The fee for non-employees is $80. A separate email will be sent with payment instructions once you have completed the registration process.

The American Red Cross lifeguard training and certification are imperative to the process of getting hired on as an official Red Cross lifeguard. Our detailed training includes both testing of hands-on skills as well as comprehension on written tests. The certification, which includes First Aid, CPR and AED training, is valid for two years upon completion and is accepted nationwide.
There is no fee for current Department of Recreational Sports employees. The fee for non-employees is $280. A separate email will be sent with payment instructions once you have completed the registration process.
